The rootkit-equipped Sony CDs cover 52 titles. The recall (and would you be sure the new CD won't have anything else disconcerting on?) talks about 2 million CDs - that's an average of 38,500 sales per CD. The DNS numbers say 500,000 networks report an infected PC. Does that mean one in four CDs goes into a PC?
sbisson points out the DNS numbers aren't necessarily accurate and the rootkit doesn't work on Macs so it's skewed (up or down?) but it's an interesting proportion.
