A funny way to win friends and influence people...

Sony's Sir Howard Stringer was quite agitated by Google handing out free HTC phones at Google IO today: he brought it up in the panel that closed out the keynote and again in the q&a session with the press. Indeed towards the end of the session he said:
I wish I could give you all Sony Ericsson phones...
Assembled journalists: you can!
Sir Howard: but they're too good for you.
Assembled journalists: HARD STARE
